Fun and good sushi

Having never made sushi before, we didn't know how to handle it. But this product made it easy and (quite) fun. And the end result was frankly honest sushi. With three kids and each with their own ideas of what they want, we rounded up all the key ingredients (crab meat, sliced cucumber, avocado, spicy tuna, cream cheese, shrimp, smoked salmon, etc.) and then had everyone make their own. own buns. The English guide was clearly a translation from another language, but it was easy enough to understand. The general directions were for buns without seaweed, but many of us wanted buns without rice. So we prepped our seaweed and rice sheets ahead of time, lined the sushi pan with plastic wrap (and some sesame oil), then placed our rice and seaweed sheets on top of the plastic wrap. It was very easy and worked great. We simply cut open the plastic wrap and then easily peeled it off the discs. In the end it was really good and a lot of fun. I wish they had two large bases so two people could make large buns at the same time. time, but in the end we only had one person doing big and small at the same time, and it worked out well.
