They were easy to install, had to remove the front fender trim but it was easy. The lamps themselves do not have such a direct beam and illuminate a larger radius of the area. They help a little when cornering at night in the pitch-dark landscape. They don't seem to get brighter with distance. They also light up areas above the ground, for example 20 feet above the ground in trees, as I said, they are not a direct beam. I don't use them for fog lights, I want them to go around corners and illuminate the roadside in close proximity to the truck. When I turn them on in the garage they appear to be a lot brighter than standard bulbs, but in actual street use they're not that much brighter. As long as they don't burn, I'm happy
