This is a handy little dustpan. I love it but gave it 4 stars because the dust box is a little flimsy. The brush has a good grip, not fixed very tightly. If the plastic was a bit heavier the brush and brush would hold together better. It's not a make-or-break issue for me as it lasts just long enough not to be irritating and hangs nicely on the matching pot and brush handle holes. However, the pan has enough weight to do the job it was made for. The silicone strip at the bottom works very well as it fits snugly to the surface and even follows its contours creating a slightly uneven surface. It also allows you to brush the last fine dust into the pan. The brush has soft bristles that conform to the surface and are soft enough to go over something delicate. They are also short enough to move the junk around and slide onto the baking sheet. The edges of the pan are high enough to pick up a lot of dirt and larger particles, and to keep dirt in the pan while you toss it in the trash. It is compact as the brush is pressed against the bowl. I have muscular dystrophy and arthritis in my fingers and don't find it difficult to use but I don't think it was made with ergonomics in mind so I gave it 4 stars for that. I really like this little shovel and brush set and think I will be using it for a long time.
