Fixed lens, may be too narrow.

The overall quality of the lens is pleasant, no matter how light it is. Objects in focus look very sharp, and the background looks soft, beautiful, and blurry. The C-rings are comfortable to the touch and give you more wiggle room. However, I've found a problem with your new lens, which is that it's pretty easy to over-tighten the C-rings. I had to use pliers to remove it from the lens, but this is easy to work around and leaves a bit of tightening. .I had another problem with the lens. "INFINITY FOCUS" is advertised, which is not the case with my lens. When shooting portraits, I can only fit part of the image without losing focus, so the image is larger. it will not focus further, any closer. However, I can think of multiple uses for this lens: still photography, macro photography, etc. (the image above has been modified in Lightroom but no major modifications have been made) (shot on a Nikon 1 J1) EDIT: I've had the lens after a few Days upon arrival the only moving part that worked was the aperture wheel, after a few days of use when I was carrying it in a pocket (general use) the focus wheel suddenly came loose, now I can focus. I read a few comments that said this lens wouldn't focus, in my case it was just a focus wheel that got stuck, but I'm not sure how it was safe to pull it off. Now the lens works perfectly. So yes it does seem that these lenses tend to get stuck in the focus ring, I would recommend using this lens for a bit before calling it out. EDIT 2: There is an R-out on the outside of the lens (the one not facing the camera). If it's too tight, you've locked focus. All you have to do is loosen the outer ring and the focus wheel should work.
