We bought this suit a medium size. The bodysuit is perfect for my 3.5 year old for the upcoming Halloween but will get tight as he grows up and wants to continue wearing it to the dress up game. He's about 40 inches tall and wears clothes that weigh 3 to 4 tons (hope this helps you get an idea of the sizes). The only thing to note is that the headgear is completely separate from the body and the velcro that goes under the chin is quite short/tight, exposing his entire neck. I've read in other reviews that someone bought a piece of fleece to connect the headgear to the body, so I'll try to turn it into a sweatshirt-like hood. For the price, the extra work is still worth it and overall the costume is really well made!
