My fiance and I absolutely HATE the heat, but living in California you don't have much of a choice when it comes to exercising outdoors. I bought 2 of these when we went through the last heat wave. I love that you can put it on your head, it fits like a scarf and you don't have to fiddle with it to make sure it stays in place. I have found this to be the only way of wearing that is truly functional for me. Other methods are either not as effective or too limited (and ridiculous!) for everyday gardening. My fiance didn't want to wear it at first. On a hot day after playing with my dog for a long time, I put this around my dog's neck. He doesn't like water: He doesn't like getting wet, stepping in water, splashing, etc. and he runs away when I use a hose to water the garden, when I turn on the water in the shower or when I turn on the sprinklers (even though they're not there). Eccentric. But to my surprise, he didn't mind that wet towel around his neck at all! And instead of gasping loudly 20 minutes after playing, he was gasping just 5 minutes after I wrapped him in a cooling towel! I was very glad he hasn't given up on it and that it's helping him because overheating in dogs is a legitimate problem (many K-9 units were lost to heat stroke. Very sad. Look). And my dog usually doesn't care about anything else when it's time to play, not even his own health! (A scary example: We were playing in the yard and he came back limping, I wondered what happened and tried to look at his leg. He backed away and just wanted me to throw the ball again. what i did.when he thrown back the second time,i saw a lot of blood on his leg.,he kinda almost ripped off one of his rear dewclaws on the previous throw/rebound.still don't know how that happened,there's nothing Scharfes drin mein Gras! Hunde sind doof) Für meinen Hund jedenfalls super. it also looks sooooo cute on him, like a handkerchief, but doesn't let it get cold. It was the unintended purpose of this purchase but has proven to be really beneficial for my pup who gives 100% with every litter whether he is limping, overheated, bleeding or has lost his toe. etc. This is my way of taking care of His health, since HE doesn't. Oh, one more use I forgot to mention: I bought it as a gift for my dad who is a go kart. I remember him mentioning how hot he is when he's karting (because you're in all that gear, a helmet, a full suit plus neck and chest protection, and you're in direct sun and heat and you're in tar black. yeah) Anyway I thought oh my god this would be perfect for my dad because he can wear it under all his gear and under his helmet! He answered me and said he likes it and makes it much more bearable in this heat. So there is another application. I bought him a black one to match his outfit.
