It was a struggle for us from day 1 with our business. We have a window that faces south and is lit by sunlight all day and it seems like no sign can outperform that light (which is actually expected). Although the sign itself is very pretty, the only color for the "OPEN" portion that is visible in direct sunlight is green. It would probably be much better if the white letters that diffuse the light from the LED were a little less white. The white letters actually seem to interfere with the display in direct sunlight. We will keep this sign as it is easily visible on light cloudy days and we have many such days here. However, keep in mind that if you are constantly exposed to direct sunlight, you may not be satisfied with the results. If you have a business hours sign from the same company (we do it in a different window), please note that you must disable that sign before attempting to connect to that sign via the app and Bluetooth. You can only activate one character when connecting to the app. UPDATE: In trying to solve the direct sunlight issue, I tried something that might seem counterintuitive. I bought 20% non-reflective window tint and put it on the window where the sign is. This greatly improved the visibility of the shield during the day when the sun is hitting the window directly. The tint film I used was the following. hope this can help someone else.
