This humidifier is so cute. I got one for my birthday but one day when I emptied it the source came out and it's just lost forever. Rather than trying to guess the size of the spring to try and get a new one, I just repurchased a humidifier and in my first picture you can see I've incorporated a springless humidifier into a display for my Kraken D&D - Cube repurposed. The working humidifier (2nd photo) is so quiet that I was amazed. It's perfect for my bedside table. It's not big enough to humidify an entire room, but that's not what I bought it for. My first complaint is that I hate that the cycle is only about 3 hours. If he worked a full 6 hours he would use the entire bathroom and last all night. That being said, I usually wake up in the middle of the night so I can usually just press the button again to restart the timer. My second complaint is that most face nowhere but upwards. I usually brace my back with something to draw it towards me more. Not really a complaint, but the fan head only blows when the built-in light is on, and it kind of just blows back fog. I can't explain the math or science why this fan (on whatever packaging I received) isn't blowing air in front of it. The backlight turns on only when the built-in light is on. so this affection serves me little. In any case, the humidifier without attachments is more beautiful.
