Well, while it lasted, it was good. We've had it for almost 6 months and it's great so far. My daughter dropped it the other day and the plastic corner under the elastic broke completely in two. As far as protecting the tablet goes, it definitely did. The tablet is in the same good condition as the day I bought the case. I wish the case hadn't broken because it was a really good case. My daughter loves the colors, the stand and how comfortable it is to hold. I'm not sure I would recommend it now.
