I only needed a plastic cover to replace a cracked one on my boat but the price for the whole block wasn't much more. I put in a new lid as well as a new grille (the old one on the left in the photo has a few pieces glued to it but otherwise ok). Within three months, the new grille (on the right in the photo) was almost completely rusted. Our water conditioner produces <500ppm TDS so it must have been poor quality stainless steel mesh.
