Tricolor lamp works very well. There is no other lamp on the market that offers this feature. Dimming control is continuous. That's very nice too. The lamp is powered by USB. This means that the plug that fits into the outlet is a USB power adapter. As I already have a 60W USB charger on my desk I now have an additional 2A USB power supply. I haven't noticed any noticeable flickering when using the dimmer. In general it is very pleasant. It's worth the money. The main complaint I have is that the magnifier is only 4 inches. This leads to difficulties in usability compared to a large lens. The extension cord is also shorter compared to other products on the market. The light control would be nice to have on the lamp body rather than built into the base of the fixture. After all, the lens can only rotate along the arm axis. This means that you cannot fine-tune the vertical adjustment of the lens without adjusting the main lever. The lack of that last 3 inch adjustment coupled with the small lens makes this lamp an unsuitable candidate for prolonged use during a large project or book reading. It costs $50 for the light temperature alone; However, I wouldn't buy this model again as my main complaints were the lens size and the last few inches of adjustment. I can live with the arm length and power button placement, but the lens and fine-tuning options are too limited.
