Review on YOSH IPX8 Waterproof Phone Case 2-Pack by Paulo Heisler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Thumbs up from the water sports enthusiast with a small disclaimer.

I have had many waterproof bags and consider them essential as I consider them a safety feature as they are one of (in some sports the only) lifeline in an emergency. Active participation (water skiing, windsurfing, boating, open water fishing). My current phone is the Moto Z2 Force. Unfortunately, despite being a flagship phone, the proximity sensor (which detects your face during a call) turns the phone off when it's in such a case/case/case (all I've tried do this with this phone). So you can't take calls or use it as a phone when it's in your pocket. Motorola's OS also doesn't allow you to disable it. If you use this bag as a safety device in an emergency where there is no point in taking it out of the bag (floats in the water), I recommend you take some Bluetooth with you (headphones, watch, waterproof speaker). This allows the phone to be used since the sensor is disabled when connected via Bluetooth. All in all a great bag. The fingerprint sensor works flawlessly, the fit is comfortable, the material is fairly see-through and stretchy, the clasp closes much quicker than most cases, and even if your phone is waterproof, it offers plenty of redundancy when needed.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
