I bought this box primarily because it was reasonably priced and not gross, but now that I have and use it I am MUCH more impressed with it. Impressed enough to write a review! The box looks very nice even though it is made of plastic. The top looks like stitched leather and the side panels look like wood unless you look directly at them. The black and gray colors look very nice and as the side panels are textured they could be repainted very easily if needed without the usual problems associated with plastic paintwork. Considering how much better this looks than the competition, which looks like ugly plastic Playkool/Tupperware type stuff for the same relative price, I'd highly recommend people buying this if they want weatherproof outdoor storage. It was easy to assemble. A: I put everything together in probably less than 5 minutes. It doesn't have many parts (bottom, lid, side panels x4, side supports x4) and they all snap together fairly easily without tools or much effort. I had to press the last corner of the lid to snap that last corner into the side brace, but it popped up without much trouble when I applied some pressure to it, and I'm a short lady so people probably win. don't have the problem at all. The guide consists of only four pictures, which are clear and easy to use. Tip: It will be easier to align the lid with the side panels and supports if you open the lid during the process. Once set up, the box is very stable. It easily works as a seat for an adult or can even be used as a small table. The lid is easy to open and close. It can be padlocked if desired but the lock hole is quite small so it needs to be a smaller padlock and not the usual heavy padlock that might be used on a gate for example. There are large cutouts on each side for use as a hand holder, they are deep and comfortable for easy lifting and moving. It also fits a lot more than I expected. I have a 25 pound bird seed stash, a folding stool, as well as various fertilizers, plant foods, fungicides, etc., some basic gardening tools, and a few spare sprinklers and hoses. There's plenty of room left in the box after that, and I could easily put more in if I wanted to. In short, I highly recommend this box and I am very happy with this purchase. I am thinking of getting a 150 gallon bench for my yard.
