As you can clearly see from the product photos, the wheel is a piece of plastic into which you insert a Wii controller for driving games. It would be pretty hard to screw up something so simple, so it won't surprise anyone that it's exactly what it's supposed to be: a plastic Wii Remote cradle shaped like a steering wheel. You must remove the rubber cover on the controller to install the remote control in the steering wheel. There is a hole for the wrist strap, so you don't need to take the strap off. However, it's a bit awkward to hold the steering wheel with a wrist strap or just loosely, so I still untie the strap when using the steering wheel. Despite the name, it's just hard plastic. There's nothing terribly convenient about that.
