I was expecting this thing not to stick to the lid of my iPad that well and I was expecting the stylus to be a bit fiddly to get out. I am happy to report that I was wrong and this exceeds my expectations. I glued it to the back of the soft TPU plastic case. I wiped the lid with a damp paper towel and dried it thoroughly. Then I removed the protective tape from the pen holder and positioned it about half an inch from the right edge of the iPad's back cover (that is, on the back right when I'm holding the iPad vertically). After making sure the holder was properly attached to the iPad lid, I removed the lid, placed it face down on a piece of 2x4 scrap and pressed with a J-roller (a rubber wheel with a J-handle that developed for veneer worktops). pen holder in the lid . It sticks incredibly well to the cover and doesn't look like it's going to peel off any time soon. The sleeve itself consists of a semi-rigid back (almost like the brim of a baseball cap) with a spandex-like pocket that is very stretchy. The back has a notch that makes it very easy to guide the tip into the sleeve. I can stick a pencil into the back of an iPad without looking. Because of the way I placed the case, it really helps hold the iPad (much like a stylus). When the iPad is laid flat, it also acts as a small stand to tilt it slightly, making the iPad easier to use. Of course, if you want it to lay more evenly, simply remove the pin from the sleeve. Overall I am very satisfied with this product.
