The shelf itself is very easy to assemble. Just make sure you have a Phillips screwdriver to assemble it. Although I'd like to go deeper. My computer's stand is larger and does not allow the front phone holder to be used. The phone holder could be deeper in my opinion. I put my iPhone in and it dimmed the screen a little more than I would like, but that's a moot point as I can't use it. I would recommend this shelf just make sure your monitor stand is thinner for full use.
