After a few weeks the blue LED stopped working. It was still supplying power and appeared to still regulate power, but as the manual states, if the indicator doesn't light up, the surge protector is defective. The reset button didn't light up and wasn't felt when pressed. I clicked the back button here on the site and was connected to a live chat where I explained the situation. The technician/customer service rep quickly ordered me a new one and said I would have it the next day. Quite easy! Of course the new one came the next day and I just had to send the original back. I printed the label from this site and mailed it to the UPS store a few days later. I've had the new label for about a month now and it's working well. The first one had a difficult time getting the plugs into the outlets for some reason, but this one they go in with no problem. I must have just gotten a bad one at first. The speed and ease with which they rectified the situation was very impressive! As for the product review, I'm no electrical expert, but it seems to do what's expected. I use it for my guitar amp and effects pedals. I've blown fuses in a few places when plugging them into the designated outlets or wall sockets, so I wanted to make sure my devices weren't damaged by something I could prevent. After I started using it, I had a slightly noticeable improvement in the clarity of the home amp's sound. In some places my amp sounded different than at home before I bought it. (Of course I know there are some acoustic differences as well) With a voltage regulator the sound is stable and predictable. Most importantly, this is a quality surge protector that I can trust when using my gear elsewhere.
