This ONLY works well with Hero 8 Black. It's too big for my Hero 7 Black. It looks like it will protect the camera well. I have to say that after a few months of use it is working well. A bad accident on my bike broke the lens cover on my GoPro Hero 8, but the camera itself looks brand new. I connect it to this protective cage. It's easy to use, fairly light, and you have access to a side door without having to remove the camera. I DEFINITELY recommend it.
