Review on Deck Clip 25-Pack: Adams Christmas 🔧 3210-99-1040 - Easy & Secure Outdoor Holiday Decorations by Sheneka Lane

I was an idiot ordering these clamps. They are totally unsuitable for use on standard prefabricated deck railings greater than 1 inch thick. I took a chance because the reviews for this product were (are) everywhere and it looked like a decent product. Not only are they too "tight" to fit even a 1" top deck rail, poorly designed "feathers/tips" molded into the parts, dents, scratches and damage to the finished wood. Even the picture on the product packaging is completely misleading, implying that they can be used on a "two inch" thick board (not without ruining your deck railing). They could probably be used on 3/4" thick wood, but even then they would probably scratch and dent the wood due to the "sharps" built into the piece (another reviewer's terminology). I'm not clear for what specific application this product is intended for. Guttering, shingles, cornices? Definitely not your typical deck railing. Waste of money for my app.
