I am a frequent flyer so I was able to take 70 pounds on an overseas flight. This bag is very big and fits tons of stuff. It held up very well on the flight no tears in the fabric. I gave it 4 stars for traveling because if you can only take 50 pounds, this bag would be too big and oversized so you may pay more for it. I can't really say whether it's durable since I only used it on one flight. I think this bag would be great for hockey gear and large items- but again for a regular traveler it will be too large.
