Review on 🔪 Dexter Russell Sani Safe Cutter Scraper Polypropylene: The Ultimate Hygienic Kitchen Tool by James Nedumaran

I saw this scraper as the tool of choice at America's Test Kitchen and because I needed it I ordered it immediately. However, reading the reviews, I was troubled by the mixed opinions from the reviewers, with some indicating that it was a flat bladed scraper while others claimed it had a cutting edge. All I could do was cross my fingers that what I got had a cutting edge. It's not like this. That's not to say the edges aren't sharp - when I run it across my meat block work island it picks up quite a bit of wood with each pass, but when I cut through a bunch of celery the edges remain frayed. Chop the herbs with it in equal jerks. I want my kitchen scrapers to do the double duty of cleaning and cleaning. So although it scrapes off the surface of my cutting board like a slicer, it does a pretty poor job of chopping veggies. Perfect. I'm disappointed that it doesn't cut as I hoped, but other than that the tool is excellent and surpasses any other kitchen scraper I've had in terms of design and ease of use.
