These candle holders sit beautifully on my half wall in the living room. They won't wobble at all which makes it great when I'm burning candles. The company sent it packaged very well. They screw in together which helps with it being secure.However, some may not feel comfortable lighting candles with these since it is only a flat surface. It doesn't have a spike for the candle to be secured on. The plates do curve upward to provide some stability if that helps. I haven't had an issue with it at all yet though - that's with children running around! Due to the simple look of the candle holders it makes it versatile for seasons, or gifting. There are no rough edges, or chipping. Has a very nice finish to it. I ordered the silver finish, but now I'm thinking I might have to get the other finishes too! It looks gorgeous with my fall set up with leaves all around it. I can only imagine how beautiful it'll look with garland for Christmas!
