First of all, our daughter is only 1 year old, 5 feet tall and 93 pounds, and 12 is perfect for her waist, stomach length with plenty of hip, butt and leg room. She could probably even go down to a 10 for a slimmer fit, but she likes that they're a little roomier. Second, these pants are SUPER soft! She is madly in love with them and doesn't take them off even though it's 90 degrees here now 😊
