As good as a Manfrotto tripod (mostly)

This thing competes with the $800 Manfrotto tripods I've used. The only thing - literally THE ONLY thing wrong - is that the bubble level for the head isn't really level. I need to place the bubble about 3/4 past the black level ring so it's really level. I marked this spot with a marker to make life on set a little easier. But now that I know this, I can work around this problem. This is not a problem or disadvantage per se, but the spreader is intended to be a mid-range spreader. I figured that meant lifting the top would leave the spreader down, but that's not the case. Wherever you lift it, the spacer will be in the middle. The manifold is also fairly flexible plastic, so I wouldn't trust it to carry a sandbag of any significant weight. The liquid head is pretty smooth. As I mentioned earlier, it competes with Manfrotto's $800 models. In a direct comparison you can see the difference. However, this is a very small difference. The pan has no adjustable damping, only tilt. The thing is almost entirely made of metal. Anything wrong is usually high quality plastic (except for the expander). It's heavy enough to carry a fully assembled BMPCC4K, but light enough to carry with the rest of your gear. At about 1/6 the price of a Manfrotto (I'm a filmmaker, not a mathematician), this tripod is hard to beat.
