I used this article to connect my laptop computer to a Baofeng handheld ham radio to flash the radio's memory with the simplex frequencies I use regularly program and, for frequency repeaters, the tones and offsets needed to communicate with individual repeaters. This works great with the free downloadable Chirp software. Regarding the features listed by Revain for review - thickness, battery life, and sound quality - this product has no batteries, no sound, and as for the thickness, that "feature" makes no sense when discussing this topic - it's two plugs and a cable. There is no fat.
