Review on BESTTEN Receptacle Outlet Tamper Resistant Charging by Mark Toth

Poor design, no customer service

Best price for one true 20A outlet with 2 USB charging ports. I had to back out the screw 3/4 turn to attach the Romex 12AWG. At the same time, the screw fell out completely, which made the bushing unusable. This is a poor design where the nut in the socket holds the bolt. Almost all standard bushings used in body construction by Leviton, Pass, etc. are threaded. At least weld the nut on the other side so that it does not fall off. I recommend switching to a threaded connector, which will probably save pennies per unit and is a better design. Customer service basically said, very bad, the screw should not be unscrewed. If there isn't enough space to mount Romex #12, you'll have to step back a little! Technical support did not respond. Reluctantly bought another one. It's worth noting that of the two I installed, only one had to be pushed back a bit to fit the wire. Another release was enough right out of the box. need quality control.

Pros
  • Two high-speed USB charging ports (Type A): 5VDC and 3.6A total and 2.4A per port, freeing up outlets for extra power and space savings
Cons
  • High price
