I bought these because my phone stopped charging from the charging port and I needed to use a Qi Pad. The head on them is too big, it doesn't go deep enough into the harbor. I have a Pixel 3 that uses a USB-C connector, which is becoming more and more common. You can remove some dust, but not all. After much frustration, I used a needle and was able to pull out an incredible amount of compacted dust. Later that day I used the end of one of these floss (Oral-B Glide Scope Outlast) and was able to extract even more. Dental floss heads have proven to be the perfect tool for this task. Super thin, flexible, made out of plastic, not metal, and you can actually use them once you're done cleaning your phone every few months.
