Bought on a trip 2 years ago with a good discount in the store. I did not want to take a "soap box", so I was looking for a budget DSLR. Prior to this, there was no experience with a DSLR. The main task was: the presence of a wireless interface for the rapid transfer of photos to a smartphone (relevant when traveling), a lens in the kit and some kind of video recording. As the first SLR - a great purchase. 2 years of inactive use in different conditions (mountains, sea, heat, snow, long exposures in frost -25 in winter on a tripod) the camera withstood brilliantly. There was never a hint of failure, although there were many drops of sea water and a little snow. For home use, to find yourself and your capabilities in photo (possibly video) shooting, an excellent (budget) start, as for me. I already understand which carcass I should take next. And my children will "torment" this camera, I'm sure. You can and should experiment. A list of suitable lenses and tripods is available on the canon website. These lenses are enough to take impressive pictures and process them with the appropriate software after.
