My lucky kitten decided to enjoy my laptop's power cord after six years of service. When it came time to buy another, the price suited me. It worked great with my laptop and was happy with it. The only caveat I would make is that the original Dell cable was two-wire and could easily be plugged in around the house if needed, even with extension cords. This particular purchase, a three prong cable, limited me to places to take my computer when the cable was needed. It wasn't really more than just an observation that I came across.
