I read all the reviews thoroughly and still took a chance. It mutes my ATV's HMF exhaust, no problem. No pairing problems. Rain won't bother this thing. You should never completely submerge electronic devices. yes it is waterproof I sprayed mine straight out of a waterhole to mimic the mud park experience and had no problems. The intestines were dry. It has an amp and it sounds good. The LEDs are bright. The only thing I could fault was the lack of volume or playback controls on the remote. The remote control is only used to turn off the speaker and control the LEDs. The power button on the remote turns off the LEDs when the device is paired. When no device is paired and the indicators are off, the speakers go into standby mode. If you want to be sure they are completely de-energized, install a toggle switch or connect them to the "key on" wire for your ignition so they only turn on when the key is on. Sometimes you get a fake or abusive delivery driver but they are good for what I paid for them and they arrived 2 days early. Remember that "waterproof" only means "waterproof" if everything is fine. If you're worried, grab some clear silicone. I have made. They appear to be marine grade speakers, but still don't submerge them in water, they are speakers. All in all, they're good, and Pyle's been around too long to do cheap shit, and they're not. Sometimes you just get duds, no big deal.
