*********UPDATE************ From 5 stars to 2 stars Although yes, that's the heater I'm on I just noticed that since he was working hard in sub-zero temperatures, there was a horrible smell of electricity coming out of the unit. That's not overheating but I'm very skeptical about this kit, that smell shouldn't be there and it's strong. I think the wild people still come to eat and warm up because they need it. the smell makes me sick, it must really stink to you. ** Revain, can you find out if this is normal? ********** I love it and yes it works. It's -11 and the water isn't frozen. I have this in an insulated cat box for some hikers outside and for now it does everything it says on the tin. That being said, if you have pets in this cold weather, don't let them go outside! In weather like this, I don't know how it's supposed to stay aloft without cover. I'm happy and the cats/possums/raccoons that eat my excess cat food are happy.
