I tried two devices and they both had the same popping noise. I understand that if you have any Wi-Fi devices nearby they may be interfering with this unit, but that seems overly sensitive. I've searched a lot on google and couldn't find any others that had the problem I was having. I replaced the first device that I thought was defective. The second device I noticed was that it would definitely make a sound if I was near my network router. I thought I was ok after finding out. I took the device outside but with a cell phone in my pocket and it made a crackling noise. Another time at the park, with the device on, I turned off my phone and the noise continued. I had no other Wi-Fi devices. Audio cracking renders the audio output unusable. Returning the second device :( I really wanted this product to work for me, it seemed perfect for my needs.
