These devices are amazing. Quiet operation, smooth operation of the drawer and the ability to overwrite media with sufficient capacity. After trying too many cheap drives this one broke. Time will tell if it's durable, which other drives have lacked, but for now it's a pleasure to use. A warning though, the second unit was bought secondhand through Revain. I figured since they were selling there was a good used work tool out there. It wasn't like that. The original packaging has obviously been shipped multiple times as there are fragments of barcodes from other labels. It was a doa, and because he was dead as a stone, he was brought back at all. If you don't mind a refund and don't need urgent help, then take a chance. To me, the few dollars saved buying Revain doesn't make up for the frustration of having to install it only to have to remove it, repackage it, and return it.
