Works, that's the main advantage of such an object. No more buying custom sized bulbs for the lamp we inherited with our house. It won't work 3 ways, but honestly it's better than expensive lightbulbs that were hard to come by. My only concern is that the description/barcode sticker was on the metal contact. It did NOT come off well so I spent half an hour scraping it off with several soaps and solvents to get it off. There was still some glue left, but I finally gave up. It also works with a small barrier over metal. It's also funny because it came in a little plastic bag that would have been so easy to put a sticker on. The item is great, but the packaging could be better.
