For a 100w heater this is a great unit for the price. Keep in mind that 100 watts is not the power level you are used to from an electric home heater (usually around 1500 watts). This heater uses a PTC element which prevents the heating element from overheating and catching fire if something goes wrong. I used a low voltage battery shutdown circuit so the heater only runs when the battery is charging and prevents the heater from draining the battery. I'm using preset voltages of 14V on and 12.88V on and off. Power consumption is around 100W as advertised. Make sure your wiring and fuse are rated for 8A DC. You may get less than 100W due to poor wiring or a low battery. As with any heater, keep an eye on objects near the heater to avoid igniting it.
