Can't use the brown side

Although the belt has black and brown sides, the brown side cannot be used because the pin cannot be inserted due to the bend angle being too sharp for the belt hole. I can try to flatten it out a bit with pliers. Also, the belt buckle is a bit short and it is difficult to slide the end of the belt under the buckle.
