The envelopes are exactly as pictured, and well-made, with none of the variations, sloppy seams, etc. you get with cheap envelopes. They're also completely opaque -- they hide the contents better than most "privacy" envelopes.I'm using them for homemade greeting cards printed on letter-size card-stock, folded in half -- it's a great fit, leaving just a hair over 1/16 inch extra space (all around) inside.I was skeptical of the self-stick strip at first, but it holds well AND opens cleanly. A quick press will let you open and re-seal the envelope a few times; you'll want to press firmly for several seconds if you're mailing the envelope.
