Long review lots of info

these stink.like really stink! BUT it goes away quickly!im making these for a friends upcoming wedding, so the first part of this is just "general" info for anyone who wants to put something like it up at home. My wedding venue tips/info will be after.Assembly :I got (7) 9.8ft x 9.8ft (300 led lights) curtain lights, between each strand of lights is 5-6 strands of "greenery" . i put 2 different kinds together at the same time-so the "5-6" strands between each strand of lights is really 10-12 strands of greenery. I used tiny green zip ties (i got a bag of 200 and prob used half for all 7 curtain lights) to attach the greenery to the main wire of the lights. After making all these i can tell you to separate them easily, lay the greenery out & and turn it so the bottom is facing up (like in my pic) find the one on the TOP (dont go to one of the ends and pick the one that looks like its on top cause it may not really be on the top) pick the top one up and gently (it gets caught on the other leaves sometimes) work it to the ends. you can pretty much just "walk it" off.so easy! The other greenery i got ( in my pics) had pointy leaves and im not gonna lie, it was such a hassle.impossible to separate them easily. After i got them all up, i cut them at random lengths and added the cut off pieces to the top to make it fuller and give a more "natural" look (see pics).WEDDING TIPSas i said i got 7 curtain lights to go across a wall thats 70ft. So it took 14 packs of this greenery plus 7 of the other to make. To make my life less stressful ( God willing) the day i decorate i decided to let the bundles of light strands down, then put the greenery as i wanted, and then rolled them up (see pics) to hopefully keep them from becoming a tangled mess and safely storing them. What i did (see pics) was first tape up string (that will tie up the bundles), then tape up paper ( i got a giant roll on amazon), * a note for the paper.when you tape the paper up, make sure the "natural roll" of the paper is curling up towards you also i stared at the far end of my window cause i wanted the paper "panels" to over lap each other a bit * then i hung the lights on my curtain rod and used clamps to hold it ( dollar tree has them). After i got it like i wanted it i made sure all the ends of the lights strands and greenery were in the "curl" of the paper, and started to roll it up (its easier then it may seem). when i roll them up i will start on the opposite end that i tapped the first paper panel ( because the paper over laps) & and kind of "accordion" style fold them into each other. To take it all down is not fun if you're only one person so get help if you can & wrap the power cord around the entire "bundle" to help keep it all together (hopefully that makes sense.see pics) . They are going outside on a covered porch, the wall is like barn-wood, rough, and stained. The venue does not allow me to use ANYTHING that makes a "mark" or leaves a adhesive residue. So i got the scotch things in the pics and "tested" it at my house. I put it on my own "dirty" ( meaning i didn't wipe it or anything) covered porch, it stayed ( i used 4 sets) took it down after 30+ hours ! BUT my white paint on around my windows also came off! Then i remembered the venue is stained wood so i put a sticky thing on some stained wood that encloses our porch.left it for about 2 hours and it came off beautifully! NO RESIDUE left behind! they are not the cheapest things, but i would just want to crawl under a table and hide if things started to fall off during the reception, so worth it to me! Just in case.i tried CAREFULLY heating the sticky things on my white paint with a heat gun, not only is it very time consuming but it was also hit and miss one came off great the rest took paint with it. Honestly i will bring thumb tacks "just in case".i cant imagine i will use them but need a back up plan. And the wood is old beat up "barn wood" so worst case i have to use a few thumb tacks who would notice the tiny mark left behind. Im really trying to NOT break the rules, but push come to shove i didn't spend days and all this money for them not to go up! Hope this was helpful & Good Luck to anyone who reads all this!
