Daniel Wellington watches generate strong, mostly negative opinions in the watch world. My lady loved the look of this watch so I had the opportunity to examine one of these controversial watches. One of the main things that struck me is that this watch wasn't automatic; Automatic watches contain a mechanical movement with a rotor that moves with the wearer's wrist. This Daniel Wellington watch had a Miyota quartz movement, a very common but reliable movement used in many inexpensive fashion watch brands. Despite the company's Swedish origins, all watches were manufactured in Asia and assembled in China with a Japanese movement. Again, this was similar to many other fashion watch brands that claim European or American designs but are made in China. I think the Swedish design element was only singled out to justify the higher price. My lady liked the watch very much, although I criticized her. However, she admitted that the watch's MSRP of around $200 was too high, noting that many of her favorite Anne Klein watches were of similar quality, costing around $50. take one of these. Note, however, that there are plenty of stylish, minimalist watches of the same quality for a lot less money. Due to the low price I cannot recommend this watch.
