Light but strong. The carbon fiber buckle is a bit unremarkable, but when the light hits it, you can tell it's carbon fiber. This is not a tactical belt but a great addition to your everyday wardrobe. It holds tension well and does not let up during physical exertion. The nylon strap is medium weight and has a black flame pattern. I expect it to hold its shape for a long time without wear. It's about 1 1/2 inches wide, so the width is acceptable. Very happy with my purchase.
