Comparison to Nerf darts I've attached an image showing the comparison to standard Nerf darts. The two on the left are Nerf and the two on the right are Ray Squad. Ray Squad darts are shorter and the orange tip narrower than the foam dart body. The tip is also made of a harder plastic and can be a bit heavier than Nerf's. Pump Shotgun Efficiency I've found that the Ray's darts fly a little straighter and farther than the Nerf's due to the harder tip. A harder tip can also cause more pain, so it may not be the best for young children. The power in the motorized Nerf Infinus DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. I've attached a video of Infinus firing regular Nerf darts and Ray Squad darts. As you can see, when using darts, Nerf pumps them out at a fairly high rate of almost 2 per second. You can hear them hitting the wall. When I loaded the jet units into the pistol, it weakly fired a dart (didn't even reach the wall in mid-air) and then jammed. I could get it to fire one arrow at a time (no rapid fire) but each shot was weak, just like in the video. Ultimately, this would also lead to deadlocks. I'm not sure if the gun jamming is due to the shorter length or the different tip (or possibly a combination of both). Conclusion I would only give these 5 stars for use in pump-action shotguns. These darts are good value for money, they fly straight and far but can do a bit more damage on impact. I would give these darts 1 star out of 5 for use in Nerf motorized shotguns. Small differences in the overall dimensions of Nerf brand darts are enough to jam the gun after 1 shot. Don't buy if you have motorized shotguns. I'm going to give this 2 stars overall because I'm now stuck with 300 darts that don't work in our Nerf Infinus shotguns but do fit in pump action shotguns. Kids won't pay attention to the type of arrow when loading, so I have to deal with gun jams all the time.
