Review on Power bench for bench press (folding) Black by Mateusz Grzesiak  (M ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm satisfied, the product is exactly as described.

Weight about 14 kg. Base metal thickness 2 mm. The thickness of the stop plates is 4 mm. Welded in a circle. Emphasis under the back and seat 2 mm, welded from 3 sides. When folded, the height is 230 mm, the length is 1420 mm as in the photo, if the seat is folded - 1240 mm (a matter of 2 actions, but it will do for me anyway). And if you disassemble (it rests on 1 bolt, but due to the presence of nuts there, the assembly will take some time) you get 2 parts 8 mm and 15 mm (or so) In general, it is relatively stable when folded against the wall, it may not lean on the wall at all, but if there are small children or other living creatures in the house, then it is better to be careful, about 14 kg in weight, after all, it will not seem like it will fall. You can, of course, turn the soft side "out", but it's better to put it where it definitely won't fall.

Pros
  • Strong, stable, reliable. Nothing backlash (but this is temporary). Welding is good. Practice comfortably.
Cons
  • Despite the not very detailed instructions and the print quality, there were no problems with the assembly. But I got it together in an hour and a half. Due to the design features of the bench base (or bolts), it was not possible to fix the seat according to the instructions, namely, 2 nuts remained ownerless. The use of full-length threaded bolts will cause the threads to fray and play at the points of contact with moving parts. This is inevitable and depends only on the frequency of use. I would like to see here studs or bolts with a thread only for the width of the nut. There were damages on the front stop: a slight bend in the metal and a chipped paint - but this is not significant and the part was closed with a bolt, and it is not really visible; the second jamb with a metal coating under the back: there is really no paint on 30% of the base - but, everything is in the same plane and is closed by the back. As a result, nothing is visible. I did not take a photo, I was too lazy to disassemble) The "caps" that close the bolts do not sit securely, and if you remove the bench against the wall, they (the caps) fly off the bolts. Of course, they are for decoration, but the convex shape deprives them of practicality and, in fact, they are not needed there, but in order not to accidentally scratch the laminate, it is better to stick something on the bolts. I don’t remember if the instructions indicated which side to screw the seat on. The location of the bolt holes is not centered there (this is done on purpose). But because of this, with improper assembly, at the time of lifting the backrest, the seat cover was slightly damaged. But here he is to blame, it was necessary to think, and not apply force)))))) And, perhaps, the price of 5k, taking into account the discount and all the shortcomings, is too big.
