This product does not lighten dark spots. I'm a black woman and sometimes I get pimples that leave dark spots. I've successfully got rid of dark spots before using a scrub and active serum, so this time I decided to try this product. I'm going to save you some time and energy and tell you that this product doesn't have enough active ingredients to really make a difference. Just read the ingredient list and you'll see that vitamin C and alpha-arbutin are at the bottom and water is at the top of the list. However, I will say that it makes your skin very soft, and that's probably because it contains castor oil. My proposition? Get a vitamin C serum or alpha arbutin.
