These are crappy Chinese copycats at best. After unpacking I noticed so many strands that I wanted to knit them together, but there were too many of them. The weave is very loose and the weight of the fabric is comparable to rice paper. I like to wash new clothes first after buying them, but this scarf doesn't even hold up to hand washing. If you are interested in Shemagh, go elsewhere like Exploe Land, Rothco or Blackhawk.
