The clasp is very nice and works perfectly. Easy to put on and take off. The band itself is very hard. I've tried using a leather conditioner and it really worked, but it's still very harsh. Because of this, the strap needs to be tighter than I would prefer, just to make sure the watch sits where it should. Another problem is that the group is shorter than I think. I don't have very large wrists, but when I wear this strap less than an inch of strap comes out of the clasp and goes through the retention "loops". Not enough to get through the second free loop. Like I said, it's functional because I have it on a vintage Hamilton that I rarely wear. If this strap fitted to a watch I wear regularly, I would look for a replacement.
