This article is the real deal! My new primary button light!

At first I wanted a more reliable replacement for my 80w GVM LED light as I found this light simply lacked features and worked well as a lantern. key light. Revain recommended this to me! What struck me was the all metal construction, rosette style twist lock, Bowens mount and remote control! The pluses include the presence of several lighting modes for scenes and a remote control that is perfectly synchronized with the light! The carrying case that comes with it is VERY high quality and beautiful. I would even say premium! Inside the case is the flashlight itself, the reflector cone, the power supply, the remote control and TWO sets of batteries for the remote control! Everything fits in perfectly and allows you to carry this light with a breeze. To be honest, it's relatively small considering the light output! It's damn powerful and the fan inside is super quiet. During my hands-on testing with this light, I mounted it on a GVM lighting stand and used the GVM octagonal softbox with the first diffused layer. The light was either 40% or 100% depending on what I needed. The GVM 80w was used as the fill light with the reflector cone that came with the Sutefoto P80, which is pretty fun. Haha No light other than ambient light was used in the room. The "short film” (@5:02) in my video report was shot on a GH5s with a Viltrox EF-M2II EF-MFT adapter and a Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 lens. Cons: Only one. Lock for fastening Bowens - PAIN. You have to apply incredibly strong pressure for your item to snap into place. Harder than expected. The item snaps perfectly into place, but you risk bending some items or even breaking others due to the pressure required. But that's literally the ONLY negative experience I've had with this light. All in all, I can forgive this small issue and work around it.

Pros
  • Bowens standard extension bracket, easy to set up design
Cons
  • old
