The quality of the pants is excellent. It has an adjustable waist which is extra large for a 5T. Pants are not that tight. 6 inches at the hips and 4 at the ankles. My daughter is 5 years old and uses 5T which usually suits her better as she is a skinny girl. She is 43 inches tall and her hips are 22 inches. These pants were a rush for her. These pants are 17 inches from crotch to ankle. So measure your child. If they're short or not particularly tall, they might fit, but they looked ugly on my LO. I will only be returning one pair because she removed the tags and stickers from the others. Aug
