I use a lot of weird operating systems from time to time and it's always been an easy way to really see how an SD card or flash drive works under load. Compared to the Evo Select, it's not even close. The thing works about as well as a cheap flash drive, and the Evo Select is more like an old floppy. A cheap USB stick, what a nice compliment, isn't it? Well, for an SD card, that's actually very good. SD cards are not the same, controllers are very different, and this is usually very bad for SD card speed. That an SD card can run a live operating system well enough is very welcome, and this card does it. So what does this mean for "normal" people who just stick it in their phones, use their cameras, etc.? On a phone, this means your apps can actually be moved to an SD card without much of a performance hit. The time between shots is shortened. Transferring music can take much less time. And for a card that's still one of the cheapest out there at this capacity, that's very positive. There are better cards out there, but this is simply the best value for money. If you're deciding if it's worth an extra dollar or two over the Evo Select, definitely. This is a good card for the money.
