I bought two of these, one for my Nikon D750 and one for my D610 as I lost a Nikon hot shoe cover and the D750 was not included. I figured why not kill two birds with one stone by protecting the hot shoe and putting a small plane on top to work with a landscape tripod? ADVANTAGES: It fits snugly in the hot shoe of both cameras. The camera is mounted on a tripod. NEGATIVE ADVANTAGES. Since the whole part is made of rubber, it is a bit difficult to insert the hot shoe cover into the hot shoe. It doesn't look like it's going to be easy to take off in a hurry like Nikon's plastic shoe cover is. Actually I just tried to remove it and it looks like this. s will take a little effort to push it out. You can consider this a positive if you never plan on deleting it. You will never accidentally lose this item as long as it is attached to the camera. On the outer edge of the hot shoe, the fit doesn't look perfect. It definitely covers the whole range, but it just doesn't seem like a perfect match. Difficult to explain. Check out the attached photo for reference. Since the hot shoe cover is rubber, it's a bit more difficult to slide my cameras in and out of the case now, especially when it's a snug fit. The rubber sticks to the side pockets when plugging in and out.
