The size fits perfectly, I'm 15" just above the knee and 19" on top, so I ordered XL 16"-19". I suddenly lost the ability to walk or sit, I don't know how I pulled my hamstring in that case, but on Saturday night 3/16/19 after walking all day I was in so much pain that I could. t sleep from the kind of deep nerve pain, could not sit or walk on left thigh. I read reviews of many products and they all had good and bad so I took a risk by choosing this product, average, not too cheap and not expensive. I ordered on monday and received on tuesday, WOW that was a godsend because on tuesday i had tingling sensations from left leg to feet. I put it on and it immediately reduced my pain and cramps from a 10+ to maybe a 6. I could barely walk from the pain and now I could walk with it almost normally, still in pain but not limping. I slept in it and on Wednesday my pain level was around 4, I wore it all day, only took it off to shower and then went back to sleep and on Thursday I was only in slight pain. I didn't have to wear it to bed on Thursday night and when I got up this morning on Friday 3/22/19 I had almost no pain, I forgot I wasn't wearing it. I only put it on in case it comes back but this piece actually saved my life, I was very concerned as there is a hike coming up in May. The size fits me perfectly! This is very convenient, only the required compression ratio. I know everyone's feet are different shapes and sizes so the reviews get mixed up but for me oh my god this was the best part! Oh, and it comes in a pair, but I only had to wear one underneath my leggings and it didn't even show. I'll keep wearing it for the next 3 days to make sure my pain doesn't come back.
